Apostle Dr. Gwendolyn Ann Lester-Carson is a dynamic and prophetic voice in the Body of Christ, whose life and ministry have been marked by divine encounters, academic excellence, and unwavering service to both church and community. After rededicating her life to Christ and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, Apostle Carson embraced her apostolic calling—one revealed through years of spiritual formation and affirmed by seasoned generals in the faith.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, a Master’s in Religious Education, a Master’s in Clinical Christian Counseling, and a Doctor of Divinity from Dominion Theological Seminary, Brooklyn, NY, under Bishop Dr. Jeffrey Conyers. Her academic pursuits also include Associate Degrees in Accounting, Marketing, and Business Administration, as well as forensic mental health training from Rutgers University. A Board Certified Christian Counselor, administered by the National Association of Christian Counselors since 2023
Apostle Carson’s ministry began in 1998 with a call to serve the wounded and broken. She has taught Bible classes in transitional housing facilities, ministered in maximum-security prisons, and led street evangelism efforts across New Jersey. Her outreach initiatives—such as “Damaged, But Not for Life” and “I Will Survive Life Counseling Training Center”—have addressed domestic violence, sexual assault, and crisis intervention, earning support from civic leaders and impacting thousands.
She is the founder of Weapons of Power Gathering, a leadership empowerment movement active for over 20 years, and Rivers of Life Kingdom Ministries, an apostolic hub focused on building multicultural fruit bearers and equipping Kingdom leaders.
Apostle Carson is a published author of Standing on Trial—I Need You to Survive, a work that has mobilized her globally and contributed to legislative change in New Jersey. She is a mother of three children—two prophetically called to ministry—and a proud grandmother.
Her life is a living testimony of Philippians 1:6: "Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."
